Job Description
To manage procurement activities efficiently by sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating favorable terms, ensuring timely material availability, and supporting smooth production and operational processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Working knowledge of procurement software such as Tally, ERP, SAP, or similar tools.
- Intermediate in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with basic technical understanding to assess material quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Management & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers/vendors to strengthen the supply base.
- Maintain and update records of supplier performance for review and improvement.
Procurement & Negotiation
- Negotiate with suppliers on cost, quality, lead-time, and payment terms to maximize company benefit.
- Ensure basic knowledge of material conversions (e.g., sheet weight, meter-to-piece conversion) for effective procurement planning.
Coordination & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, production, and quality for procurement requirements.
- Address supplier quality issues in coordination with the quality team.
Cost Optimization & Reporting
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and process optimization across the supply chain.
- Regularly report procurement progress and updates to management.
