Job Description
1.Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers/vendors to strengthen the supply base.
2.Negotiate with suppliers on cost, quality, lead-time, and payment terms to maximize company benefit.
3.Maintain and update records of supplier performance for review and improvement.
4.Address supplier quality issues in coordination with the Quality team.
5.Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, quality) for purchase.
6.Ensure basic knowledge of material conversions (e.g., sheet weight, meter-to-piece conversion, etc.) to optimize procurement planning.
7.Drive cost-saving initiatives and process optimization across the supply chain.
8.Regularly report progress to management.
Skills
1.Strong negotiation and communication skills.
2.Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management.
3.Working knowledge of software (Tally, ERP, SAP, or any procurement tools).
4.Basic technical understanding to assess material quality.
5.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
6.Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
