Fabrication Engineer 🏗️👷‍♂️

Job Description ⚙️🛠️

🔸 Fabrication Process Management:

• Supervise sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, bending, shearing, welding, and assembly.
• Interpret and execute technical drawings and AutoCAD designs.

🔸 Machinery Operation & Knowledge:

• Hands-on experience with fabrication machines, including:
• ✔ Laser Cutting Machines (CO2 & Fiber)
  ✔ CNC Press Brake (Bending Machines)
  ✔ Shearing & Punching Machines
  ✔ Welding (MIG, TIG, Spot Welding)
  ✔ Grinding & Finishing Equipment

🔸 Process Optimization & Quality Control:

• Improve fabrication efficiency through lean manufacturing techniques.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and finishing standards.
• Perform thickness and surface finish checks using measuring tools like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and DFT gauges.

🔸 Material & Inventory Management:

• Select appropriate sheet metal materials (MS, SS, Aluminum, etc.) based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement for raw material availability.
• Train operators on machine handling, production workflows, and maintenance.

🔸 Manpower & Team Coordination:

• Supervise production staff and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

🔸 ERP & Reporting:

• Update production data in ERP systems and generate Daily Progress Reports.
• Track WIP (Work in Progress) and identify bottlenecks in production.

📌 Skills Required:

• ✔ Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in sheet metal fabrication or a related manufacturing environment
  ✔ Technical Knowledge: Understanding of fabrication techniques, machinery, tooling, and CAD/CAM software.
  
  ✔ Quality & Measurement: Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
  ✔ Team Player: Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with teams & departments.
